Upcycling for the win
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, upcycling is:
"reusing (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original"
Nutritious grain that would otherwise go to waste
The spent grain we use would otherwise be sent to food waste disposal. By upcycling this grain we are creating a nutritious treat without having to farm new ingredients, thus minimising our impact on the environment.
We also upcycle brewers yeast into our biscuits, which dogs love and is great for their skin and coat.
Locally sourced ingredients
Our flour and linseed is sourced from farms in close proximity to our baker.
Carbon neutral ovens
Our biscuits are baked in carbon-neutral wood-fired ovens.
Our pouches are made from sustainable resources and can be recycled.
Boxes coming soon!
We aren't happy with the sustainability of pouches. Whilst a lot of pouches claim to be recyclable or compostable, we don't think they are widely recycled/composted effectively. We plan to move to boxes that are cardboard only, which is much more effectively recycled throughout the UK.
