Sustainability
Upcycling for the win
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, upcycling is:
"reusing (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original"
Nutritious waste materials as ingredients
By using brewers spent grain and brewers yeast as ingredients it means we don't have to farm other ingredients, thus reducing our carbon footprint.
Locally sourced ingredients
Our flour and linseed is sourced from farms in close proximity to our baker, thus minimising our impact on the environment.
Carbon neutral ovens
Our biscuits are baked in carbon-neutral wood-fired ovens.
Zero waste only
We spent years trying to design the most sustainable packaging possible. Our conclusion from all those iterations was that there is only one sustainable packaging format: NO PACKAGING at all!
